More Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors Needed

Updated: Mar 30

Even though the last 2 years have been turbulent, God has guided and grown Southampton Street Pastors. We have more patrols than ever going out at all different times of the day and night. On patrol we are finding ourselves busier than ever, particularly in the night time. We are providing all sorts of practical help to people we encounter, right through to having many faith conversations and praying with people. As a result, we are looking to recruit Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors for existing patrols, as well as new patrols. Please contact us if you are interested in coming on an observation with a patrol, and possibly applying, if you feel God is leading you.

Southampton Street Pastors is made up of 136 Christians from 55 Churches in the city and the surrounding suburbs. Volunteers are Christians who find being a Street Pastor a useful tool for them to safely take their faith out on the streets and to take their church out of the building directly reaching and caring for the lost and needy. Every patrol is upheld in prayer by dedicated Prayer Pastors, who receive regular updates in real time of how God is working through their prayers during the patrol. We have 4 types of patrol; night time patrols, afternoon city centre patrols, afternoon community patrols in 3 different areas and an evening community patrol in the Shirley/Millbrook area. We are excited to announce that the next round of training starts on Friday evening, 25th March 2022 (see flyer for more information and for all the training dates).
