Our Aim

We at Café 153 provide a ‘safe space’ drop-in and café for local residents, particularly older folk, offering hot and cold drinks, breakfasts, sandwiches and cakes in a warm comfortable location at the heart of the community of Lordswood and Aldermoor. We opened the cafe in 2018, and as well as being a centre for the community, we are also proud to be 5 star hygiene rated.

Who are we?

We are a bunch of people from around the Southampton area who meet as King’s Church, aiming to live lives of freedom through a knowledge and experience of the love of God. We like to think of ourselves as family and we try to model what Jesus taught, fostering a culture of love, forgiveness, honour and hope for the future.

Why 'Café 153'?

In chapter 21 of John’s gospel Jesus said ‘Come and have breakfast’ to his disciples. But why 153? Read the rest of the chapter or ask one of the volunteers to explain.
