Pray for the Nations - United Kingdom

ree

As many of you have heard, we at Flame feel called to intercede more for the nations, and invite people to join us in prayer. It is encouraging to meet together with other believers and pray for God's Kingdom and will to be done in the nations.

We would like to invite you to join an online prayer event on Thursday 20th November, 7:00-8:30pm. As our first online prayer event of this kind, we feel called to pray for our own nation, the United Kingdom.

What you could expect as we meet?

As we meet together online we will remind ourselves of the importance of 'standing in the gap' for our nation. You may have joined our most recent Fireside teaching on 'Healing the Land', where we spoke about how the sins of the nation can bring defilement and judgement on the land and how God looks for His people to stand in confession and repentance, and pray for blessing on the nation. We will briefly revisit the main points from this teaching.

We pray for unity of spirit as we will be lead in prayers of confession and repentance for the sins on the land within the UK, and call upon the Name of the LORD to forgive, cleanse and bless our nation.

Once we have prayed together in unity, we will then go out into break-out groups where groups can continue to pray for the UK as they feel led.

Our desire

Our desire is to meet with God in these times of prayer. We believe that the Lord is merciful and gracious, as His people come to Him humbly and cry out for His Kingdom ways. We believe that the Lord hears the intercessions of His people and will bring healing to our nation in His ways. We believe we will encounter His presence more as we draw near to Him. "Draw near to God, and God will draw near to you." - James 4:8
