Southampton Street Pastors are looking for new Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors

We need your help:

As a result of our continuing expansion, we are looking to recruit Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors for existing and new patrols. Please consider if you might be interested in coming on an observation with a patrol or just to take a look, and consider if it is for you.

Southampton Street Pastors is made up of almost 150 Christians from 64 churches in the city and the surrounding suburbs. Volunteers are Christians who find being a Street Pastor allows them to safely take their faith out on the streets, and to take their church out of the building, directly reaching and caring for the lost and needy. Every time we go out, we also have dedicated Prayer Pastors who pray from our base at the St Mary’s Fire Station, or from home. Prayer Pastors receive regular updates over the phone throughout the patrol, to stay informed on how God is working. Prayer is vital to our work, and we invite people of all ages, whether experienced or new to this ministry, to consider joining us as Prayer Pastors. It’s a deeply fulfilling way to serve and play a crucial role in the lives of those we reach.

Training details:

We are excited to announce that the next round of training starts - Friday evening, 3th October 2025 (see flyers and posters for the full list of training dates).
