From Monday 26th May for a duration of six weeks, SGN specialist contractors FPF Utilities Limited will commence a programme of work to replace the gas main along Coxford Road. These essential works will ensure we can continue to provide the local community with a safe and efficient gas supply and avoid disruptive emergency leaks in the future.
We’ll be replacing the gas main between the junctions of Dunvegan Drive to the junction of Dunkirk Road. Due to the location of the gas main in the road, for everyone’s safety we’ll need to closure the road. The closure will start at Dunvegan Drive and will roll along the road in sections to completion at Dunkirk Road.
This closure will mean:
No through vehicle access along Coxford Road in either direction past the location of the closure
Vehicle access for residents to properties within the closure, including side roads, will be maintained – our site team will keep residents informed of local access arrangements as these will change as the closure moves along the road - Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained
Bin collection days will remain unchanged, unless you hear otherwise from your service provider
Bus routes may be affected – we’d advise passengers to contact their service provider for the latest information about changes to service.
We appreciate how disruptive road closure are for residents and road users. Our engineers are committed to do everything they can to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible.
If you have any specific questions regarding these works, please contact our customer service team at customer@sgn.co.uk or alternatively call 0800 912 1700 and one of the customer team will direct your enquiry to the team for response.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience this closure will cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.
